Enjoying our Camping Trailer

When we are traveling and camping we do our best to be comfortable and relaxed. Under our awning is were we live during the day. It’s our living room in good weather.

Our premise is that we need good beds to sleep well, we need a bathroom, so that we do not have to go out into the night, and because we enjoy having morning coffee, and lingering awhile in our PJ’s, we are glad for a kitchen area, however small, to prepare the morning coffee and a pastry or toast.

In pleasant weather we do our lounging outside of the trailer, under the awning, using nice fold up reclining chairs and a small table. We also will prepare our meals, when we cook at the camp, outside on a grill or using our Coleman Stove. That works best for us when we have already been to see the sights and are relaxing several days into the trip. It is especially enjoyable when we aren’t in too much of a hurry. We like to make a big breakfast on days like that.

We really don’t need more trailer to do all that. Not for the two of us. We only need a modest place to retreat at night, and when the weather turns wet and cold. When that happens we greatly enjoy having our TV and the DVD player to watch movies. Having our iPads and a Verizon hot spot for WiFi, along with our new reclining theater seating in the trailer lets us enjoy a bad weather day. It sure beats the days sitting under a dripping dining fly in our tent in our younger days.

Sometimes it’s nice to stop “Camping” and just be good to ourselves. A cold and wet day is a great time to do that. On those days we are also inclined to look for a place to have dinner out instead of cooking at all.

I am a writer with an interest in conveying meaning for customers through the development of storytelling about the business. This can be told with narrative, with photos, and with videos. Those are my interests. My history is in commercial construction. There I sold, managed, and developed business opportunities for large projects like airports, hospitals, museums, hotels, and the like. My wife and I travel. We have traveled through Europe many times, but we are closer to home now. We are using our camping trailer and our pickup truck to visit and enjoy the southeast at the moment. We shoot north or to the mountains in the really hot summer months, but we like the coastline too. We’re having a great time.
